A special event is set to take place to showcase how Central England Co-operative supports people across Leicestershire.

The Society, which has several stores across the county, is hosting the Get Together Celebration later this month in an effort to showcase the work it does in the community.

Representatives from the Society’s member groups will be on hand to talk about everything from keep fit to crafts and Action Homeless will be on hand to talk about how colleagues have been working to help those in need across Leicestershire.

Tanya Noon, Member and Community Relations Officer, said: “This celebration event allows us to showcase what we do for our members and the communities in which we serve.”

The event will take place from 11am to 1pm on Friday, 31 March at Leicester College, Freeman’s Park Campus, Aylestone Road.

Becoming a member of Central England Co-operative offers a whole host of benefits ranging from collecting points every time you spend in store to earn a share of the profits, access to members activities and community initiatives including the Community Dividend Fund, which hands out grants of up to £5,000 to charities and good causes across the Society’s trading estate.
