Destination Glenfield - Week 1

Posted by Nathan Lloyd | 12/01/2016 | Category: Community

Our Glenfield supermarket is undertaking quite the transformation.

Over the next 12 weeks, we will be making some exciting changes to the Glenfield store to deliver a greater variety and new shopping choices for our customers.

Ruth Preston, Store Manager, and her team, will be giving you an update every week on how these changes are progressing.

We start with week 1, naturally, and Ruth explains what the future has in store, as it were......

So Week 1, how has it been Ruth?

"It has been manic, but at the same time amazing to see how our large supermarket has been reduced to half its normal size, yet we have still maintained the same product range. We are ahead of our refit schedule, which is great news for the store team.

As of Sunday 10 January we started trading out of a temporary area of Glenfield store. This should simplify the shopping experience for our customers as everything is now in one place, this will also make it more manageable for the store team too.

The team at Glenfield are key to delivering the new look and feel store and they will be receiving weekly progress updates to keep them up-to-date. Customers are also being supported during the refit with ‘Destination Glenfield Champions’ and store maps detailing where to find products.

In store we are excited by the changes as we can see things happening at a very fast pace! The investment the store is getting will support the local community, our customers and members which is great news. We will create a shopping destination at Glenfield and we are excited to see what happens next.

If you do have any questions please feel free to speak to a member of the team in store."

Join us next week to find out more about the exciting developments at destination Glenfield!   And if you have any questions regarding the developments, you can contact our team via Twitter using the hashtag #DestinationGlenfield
