Bloom - A recipe for Healthy Living
Posted by Nathan Lloyd | 07/04/2016 | Category: Corporate
This March we launched Bloom, a health and wellbeing programme focused on helping you to feel great.
Throughout the year, Bloom will offer fun and engaging content to encourage and support everyone to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle.
To kick Bloom off, we are asking you to make a #mycooppledge to support your own health and wellbeing journey.
To make a pledge, simply tweet using the hashtag #mycooppledge or post on our Facebook page, sharing what you are going to do to improve your health and wellbeing for 2016.
All tweeted pledges will appear on the Bloom Pledge Board, which you can access by clicking here and if you need some inspiration, you can visit our blog where you will find 14 potential pledges you could consider making, click here to learn more.
Bloomin' health checks
As part of our on-going partnership with Kettering Borough Council, they provided exclusive health checks to 62 colleagues focusing on weight, BMI, hydration and general advice. This initiative supports our Bloom health and wellbeing programme and has been a great tool for colleagues to kick start their own journey.
Jenna Parton, Health & Wellbeing Officer at Kettering Borough Council, said:
“We have enjoyed this latest initiative in our on-going partnership with CEC. It’s been a great opportunity to offer advice and support to employees to improve their health and wellbeing, as part of our healthy lifestyles programme for those that live and work in the Kettering borough.”
Karen Ball, Member and Community Relations Officer, said:
“Health and wellbeing is really important and we as a Society are always looking for opportunities to support our colleagues, members and customers along the way. “We are very grateful for the support from Kettering Borough Council. Jenna and Shannon have been fantastic at providing quality information and support to our colleagues and I am delighted to be involved with this initiative, which is part of our continuing relationship with Kettering Borough Council."
