Let’s take a moment to look at some of the other useful changes that can be found on our updated website to help improve your job search experience, and why you should consider joining our society:
CV builder – a head start that makes all the difference
It’s no secret that it’s often difficult to know what to say or even how to say it when applying for a job, especially if you don’t have an active CV or need to update some other necessary information. At Central England Co-operative, we want to help make it as easy as possible for you to stand out and make a great first impression.
Our new CV builder is available to anyone who registers on our new website, providing an appropriately styed template and step-by-step advice so that you can clearly identify all of your skills, achievements and qualifications. Once complete, finding and applying for the right job will only be a quick mouse click away.
Valuing the contribution of every individual
Central England Co-operative has always valued Diversity and Inclusion in everything we do in order to better understand and reflect the needs of the diverse communities we serve. Fresh perspectives and different outlooks are celebrated across our many business areas and range of roles.
Embracing different experiences and appreciating independence allows us to be more innovative, recognise creative potential and supports the ethics and values at the very core of our business. By working together as an effective team with mutual respect and a shared commitment for what we stand for, Central England Co-operative can make a real positive impact on the lives of our members, customers and colleagues.
Although we are not where we want to be from a diversity point of view, we believe that openly publishing some of our key statistics will help us address the challenges we face to achieve our goals.
Learning opportunities for everyone
No matter what your educational background, our varied apprenticeship schemes are also accessible for anyone over the age of 16. These programmes are proven to help the unemployed into work or to retrain for a new career, gaining new skills and a nationally recognised qualification in the process.
Developing new talent wherever it exists and investing in learning opportunities in the workplace are crucial for a better tomorrow. This is why Central England Co-operative rewards the efforts and achievements of our apprentices with the full rate of pay for the role they are training towards.
