Central England Co-operative is offering shoppers in Castle Donington even more grocery variety with its Pick of the crop range.

Launched in the Castle Donington Food Store, Station Road, Castle Donington, Pick of the crop is a new venture offering locally grown and seasonal fresh produce alongside trusted favourites, giving customers the opportunity to sample the very best fruit and veg from producers on their doorstep.

The products will also change on a regular basis to reflect product seasonality offering our customers a wide variety of fresh produce which is at its flavourful best.

Recipe cards and free tastings were on offer during the day in Castle Donington showcasing the great flavours and variety locally sourced food can offer. Roasted parsnips and Chantenay carrots plus cherry tomato and feta skewers drizzled in olive oil were particularly popular!

Following the success at the Castle Donington Food Store, we will be rolling the range out in our Wildwood and Bakewell stores later in the year.

Pick of the crop is a great concept that fully encompasses the Central England Co-operatives ethos on supporting the environment and local communities and offering a wide range of great quality fresh foods.
