Kumala wine launches first Fairtrade product in The Co-op

Kumala, the number one South African wine brand in the UK, has produced its first Fairtrade wine exclusively for the Co-op, ensuring more equality and sustainability in the farming sector and improving labour and living conditions for farming communities. In 1992, The Co-operative was the first supermarket to embrace Fairtrade and we are delighted that Kumala has chosen to offer this new wine exclusively in our stores.
The Pinotage Shiraz is a bright ruby coloured red wine with red berry fruits and a touch of pepper on the nose. It has vibrant fruit flavours with a hint of mocha and a lingering taste.
The timing of the launch of this exclusive Fairtrade Shiraz is perfect for customers who enjoy a glass with summer barbequed meats and vegetables. It is also delicious on its own. Look out for it in stores now, priced just £6.99.
