Super quick and easy, warm comforting pudding. Sweet and sticky, and using very few ingredients. Delicious served with ice cream or custard.

Ingredients

  • 4 Bramley apples, cored, with the bottom sliced and flattened
  • 4 tbsp Tate & Lyle golden syrup
  • 50g walnuts, chopped
  • 50g Co-operative seedless raisins
  • 2 tbsp butter ice cream to serve (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
  2. Place the prepared apples into a baking dish.
  3. Drizzle 1 tbsp of the golden syrup over each of the apples allowing some to fall into the core.
  4. Sprinkle over the nuts and raisins, also allowing them to fall into the cavities.
  5. Add a knob of butter to each apple, and bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes, or until golden and tender.
  6. Plate the apples up, and pour over any of the juices, which were released during cooking.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if preferred.
