Sweet Honey Chicken
Serves: 4 - 8
Preparation: 10 minutes + 1 hour to marinate
Cooking Time: 35-40 minutes on the BBQ
Ingredients
- 1.2kg The Co-operative British chicken drumsticks and thighs, skinnedFor the marinade:
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp five spice or your favourite spice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp clear honey
Method
- Cut slits into the chicken flesh without cutting all the way through.
- Mix the garlic, five spice, oil and honey in a bowl and add the chicken. Stir thoroughly and chill for 1 hour.
- Cook on the barbecue for about 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, sticky and golden.
- To oven cook: 190°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 5 for 35-40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
