A creamy cows milk cheese, mild flavour, which gets bolder with maturation. Medium soft cheese, with an edible rind. Melts very easily, works well baked.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Camembert
  • sprig of rosemary
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and cut in half
  • 2 tsp honey
  • crusty bread to serve

Method

  1. Set the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4
  2. Take the plastic wrapper from the Camembert, but leave in its box.
  3. Press the garlic into the top of the Camembert, along with the rosemary leaves, ensuring plenty are stuck into the cheese.
  4. Drizzle the honey over the top of the cheese.
  5. Place on a baking tray, and bake in the oven until the top is golden and the cheese is oozing and molten.
  6. Serve with crusty bread to dip into the melted cheese.
