A moment to remember life lost in trying times

Welcome to our online memorial service, which we originally shared at 7pm on 15 November. Whether you’re joining us for the first time, or watching again, everyone is welcome.

When we lose a loved one, it feels so important to give them the memorial service they deserve. But over the last few months, the pandemic has prevented this, making a difficult time even harder.

We wanted to create a moment to remember; a time and place for us all to come together and reflect. To do this we held an online remembrance event and candle-lighting ceremony from our Bretby crematorium at 7pm on 15 November. The service is still available to view and everyone is welcome to watch, particularly those who have lost a loved one in recent months.

The service includes readings by our celebrant, Julie Tyler, and music, followed by candle lighting and a moment of silence for reflection. It doesn’t matter if you were unable to join us on 15 November, so please do take a moment to relax and enjoy the service in the comfort of your own home.

This is a gesture from all of us, to all of you. We hope you enjoy watching the service and we’re pleased to share that another service will be taking place in December, as a streamed broadcast from this website page. Please keep a note in your diary for 7pm on 20 December and further details will follow very soon.
