Central England Co-operative Funeralcare has officially opened a new and innovative funeral home in Peterborough – its second in just over a month.

The new funeral home is based in Eye High Street – next to a Central England Co-op food store - and a total of £152,000 has been invested in the new venture.

The new funeral home will offer a vastly superior look and feel for families and to mark the opening a donation has been made to St Matthew’s Church, in Eye, as part of the Society’s ongoing commitment to support the communities in which it serves.

This comes after last month the Society cut the ribbon on a brand new home in Orton, which was the resulted of a £120,000 investment.

Funeral Director Edward Pearson said: “This is a very exciting time for my team and we are proud to be part of the community in Peterborough.

“Our first priority is to enhance memories and love for all of our families and we are very pleased to offer that at Peterborough.

“We feel it reflects our commitment to providing excellent standards of care for our families during their time of bereavement.

“We were proud to welcome dignitaries to our official opening and to show them around our new funeral home.

In addition to arranging funerals, Edward and his team are also able to offer advice on floral tributes, monumental masonry, funeral stationery, pre-paid funeral plans and probate advice.  The team can be contacted on 01733 223455.
