Central England Co-op Travel collects donations for Acorns Children’s Hospice in Christmas appeal

Central England Co-operative Travel is again collecting donations of toys, games, book, DVDs, clothing and ornaments for Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.

The store in Great Barr will be collecting donations from now until the 15 December, to give a little Christmas cheer to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Lisa Howell, Branch Manager at the Great Barr Travel Branch said: “We chose the charity as we are all parents ourselves and can only begin to imagine the suffering  and emotional turmoil these families face on a daily basis. We all think Acorns is an amazing charity which gives access to care and support for these children. We would like to think if we were ever put into this position, there are organisations like Acorns to support us.”

The Santa’s Suitcase initiative has been a great success for the Society, and each Central England Co-operative Travel store chooses the charity that it collects for and donates to.  

If you would like to help by donating any of the items needed, please go into the Central England Co-operative Travel Branch at 608 Walsall Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B42 1EZ and speak to the team. The closing date for donations is 5pm on 15 December 2018.
