Central England Co-operative is staying open later and longer this Christmas and New Year

Central England Co-operative is set to offer a helping hand to stressed out shoppers this Christmas and New Year – by opening for later and longer to ease any last-minute festive panics.

So if disaster strikes at the eleventh hour on Christmas Eve and customers realise they have not got the tinfoil for the turkey - help is on hand as hundreds of stores across 16 counties will open late on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and throughout the festive season to ensure people can pick up the items they need.

Michael Spencer, Head of Food Retail at Central England Co-operative, said:

“We are expecting intense trading in the last few days and hours before Christmas as people look to ensure they have everything they need.

“So even if you do forget your festive favourites – or your everyday essentials - customers should be confident help is at hand right up until the last minute on Christmas Eve and throughout the festive season at Central England Co-operative stores.”

All sites across the country will be closed on Christmas Day apart from our Filling Stations in Lane Head Road Shepley, Carlton Road Barnsley, Halifax Road Huddersfield Huthwaite Road Mansfield, Hartshay Hill Ripley, and Birley Moor Sheffield.

On Boxing Day our convenience stores and supermarkets will be open from 9am to 5pm.

On New Year’s Day, selected convenience stores will be open from 9am to 5pm with supermarkets open from 10am to 4pm.

During this period our sites in Lane Head Road Shepley, Carlton Road Barnsley, Halifax Road Huddersfield Huthwaite Road Mansfield, Hartshay Hill Ripley, and Birley Moor Sheffield, will be open as normal.
