Central England Co-operative Travel branches in Bourne, Market Deeping and Spalding have launched the Society’s annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support children who will be in hospital over the Easter break – and customers and the community are being asked to offer their support.
The branches, Abbey Road in Bourne, The Precincts in Market Deeping and Beales Department Store in Spalding, are collecting Easter eggs for Amazon Children’s Ward at Peterborough Hospital to ensure that children who are unable to go home for Easter have chocolate eggs and treats.
The Easter eggs will be distributed for Easter Sunday.
Travel branch manager Sally Breed said: “We’re asking our customers and friends to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to give some cheer to children in hospital at Easter.
“It is the twelfth year that Central England Co-op has organised this collection and we are hoping to put smiles on even more faces this year.”
Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg should take it to one of the Central England Co-operative travel branches in Bourne, Market Deeping or Spalding by 5pm on Saturday, 24 March.
