Central England Co-operative Travel branch in Beccles has launched its annual Easter Egg Appeal in a bid to support children who will be in hospital over the Easter break – and customers and the community are being asked to offer their support.
The branch, in Beales Department Store, is collecting Easter eggs for James Paget Children’s Ward at James Paget University Hospital to ensure that children who are unable to go home for Easter have chocolate eggs and treats.
The Easter eggs will be distributed for Easter Sunday.
Travel branch manager Teresa Bailey-Green said: “We’re asking our customers and friends to help us donate as many Easter eggs as possible to give some cheer to children in hospital at Easter.
“It is the twelfth year that Central England Co-op has organised this collection and we are hoping to put smiles on even more faces this year.”
Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg should take it to one of the Central England Co-op travel branch in Beccles by 5pm on Saturday, 24 March.
