Central England Co-op is looking to bring a little festive cheer to customers this Christmas by rewarding them for helping boost the local community by shopping in stores all year round.

In the run up to Christmas Day, the retailer wants to say a ‘thank you’ to customers and members for their support during 2018 by giving a little back with a huge festive giveaway of over 20,000 gifts as part of its Because of You campaign.

All shoppers have to do is visit a Central England Co-op Food Store between December 5 to Christmas Eve and they will be handed a special ticket as they head through the till.

This ticket will allow them to head online to a special website and enter a unique code to receive one of 20,000 rewards ranging from Co-op mince pies to hundreds of pounds in Co-op food vouchers.

Every single customer who goes online will also be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a £3,000 holiday.

Martyn Cheatle, Chief Executive of Central England Co-op, said: “We really wanted to say thank you to our customers and members who have supported throughout the year.

“Our Because of You campaign is all about showcasing how when people shop with us it allows us to then to make a real difference  by investing in our communities.

“It allows us to give back by supporting food banks, sending unsold food to local charities, investing hundreds of thousands of pounds in community projects and installing lifesaving defibrillators.

“Because of you we can continue to have a major impact and this is our way to give something back and say thank you to our shoppers.”
