A Stafford food store has welcomed a brand-new florist shop to offer the community years of experience in providing amazing floral displays to mark birthdays, anniversaries and to help families say goodbye to their loved ones with unique and personal tributes.

The Central England Co-operative Florist shop in Salter Street, Stafford has relocated to the Society’s Wildwood Food Store in Cannock Road, with the ribbon cut on the new shop by the seven strong Floral team on Monday.

The team is led by Sharon Reynolds, 59, from Stafford, who has worked as a florist her whole working life including the past 17 years at the Central England Co-op Florist shop in Salter Street.

She leads the team of three other florists and three drivers who have relocated with her to Wildwood and Sharon said they are looking forward to being part of a new community and taking on a new challenge.

She said: “We have a lovely, small team here and we are looking forward to a new challenge, something completely different and can’t wait to meet customers and becoming part of the community in Wildwood.

“I really enjoy what I do – there is something different every day and I am never doing the same thing which makes it a really interesting line of work.

“It is also very rewarding, we have worked with families through weddings, birthdays, births, special occasions and anniversaries, right through to them saying goodbye to loved ones and it is always an honour to support them with tributes unique and personal to them.”

The shop will offer pre-made arrangements perfect for a range of special occasions, as well as the opportunity for customers to make their own bespoke arrangements, while the team also support the Society’s funeral teams with floral tributes for the families they work with.

The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9am-5pm and can be contacted by telephoning 01785 258173. People can find out more about Central England Co-op’s Floral offering by visiting www.centralengland.coop/florists
