Investment of £116,000 by Central England Co-op brings a brand-new look to Cambridgeshire food store

A Central England Co-op shop in the Cambridgeshire town of March has been transformed with an investment of £116,000 giving a boost to the local community.

The food store in Badgeney Road, March has received a makeover to give it a lighter, fresher feel and includes some exciting new features and ranges for locals to enjoy.

The community food store in March has been undergoing the makeover in recent weeks with changes including:

  • New product ranges to suit shoppers’ tastes      
  • Fantastic new food to go section with features such as hot food and brand-new Costa Coffee and Tango Ice Blast machines
  • Refreshed signage and decoration inside

Store Manager Sam Lefevre said: “We are really excited to have received this investment in the store and it is really positive for us as a team and for our customers and members. It feels like a completely new store.

“The feedback from our customers and members has been really great with them commenting on it having such a nice look and feel now and that the whole customer journey is just much better. It’s been lovely to hear.

“I would like to thank our local community here for their continued support and for their patience while we brought our new look store to life, and I hope they agree with us that it’s been worth it.”

The Badgeney Road Food Store is open every day 7am-10pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, cash machine, Lottery, Collect Plus/Paypoint, an instore bakery, customer toilets and a customer car park. The store also now offers a home delivery service via the Snappy Shopper app with shopping delivered via an eco-friendly electric van.
