Heanor and Ilkeston families who have lost a loved one are being invited to attend a special memorial walk at 10am – 12pm on Saturday 17 September at Shipley Country Park, Heanor.

The Co-operative Funeralcare on Holbrook Street, Heanor and The Co-operative Funeralcare on Lower Stanton Road, Ilkeston are inviting families to come along to the memorial walk to join together in remembrance. The memorial walk will give families the opportunity to include personalised tribute to their loved ones, as everyone will receive a memory balloon to release at the end of the walk.

The cost is £3.50 per person and includes a bottle of water and a memory balloon.

David Clarke, Funeral Director, said: “We feel it is important to support our families, beyond the funeral to help them through the grieving process. We hope that by holding a memorial walk to celebrate the lives of those that have been lost, we can give our families some solace and comfort.”
