As people get set to celebrate Easter, Central England Co-operative is ready to make sure stores are stocked full of chocolate treats for customers this year.

Colleagues at the Society’s Food Distribution Centre, in Leicester, have been working hard since all the way back on Christmas Eve to ensure shelves will be properly stocked with everything from chocolate eggs to hot cross buns.

Teams have been working hard to shift over 25,000 cases of Cadbury Mini Eggs and a whopping 55,000 cases of large chocolate eggs.

Colleagues have also been handling thousands of Fairtrade Easter products ranging from specialist wine to cakes and chocolate.

Lee Dundee, Distribution Centre Manager, said: “We always want to make sure our customers enjoy the best Easter possible and our team has been working hard to ensure that is the case.”

Central England Co-operative customers really do have a sweet tooth as thousands of Easter eggs are ready to be sold just months after the team at the Food
Distribution Centre shifted 61,000 tubs of Celebrations and nearly 81,000 tubs and boxes of Miniature Heroes during the Christmas period.

Although many people will only just be turning their thoughts to Easter, the team at the Food Distribution Centre, which at 120,000 sq ft equals the size of six Olympic swimming pools, were already working on all things Easter from Christmas Eve.
