Members of Central England Co-operative in Leicestershire are being urged to learn a new skill by taking part in a wide range of special classes.

Society members can enjoy everything from learning how to take photos and all about wine to singing in a choir and keeping fit.

These events form part of Central England Co-op’s on-going efforts to give back to members and their communities.

Tanya Noon, Membership and Community Relations Officer for the area, said: “The community projects Central England Co-op invests in help give people more confidence, better fitness and new skills.

“In Leicestershire, we have a wide range of activities that offer something for everyone to enjoy.

“The choices range from calligraphy and keep fit to cake tops and sugar craft and camera clubs – a wide variety of skills.

“We also offer something for people who are not looking to learn a new skill, but just want to meet new people such as our popular friendship and networking groups.”

The only requirement to attend one of these classes or groups is that the person is member of Central England Co-operative.

Becoming a member of Central England Co-operative offers a whole host of benefits ranging from collecting points every time you spend in store to earn a share of the profits, access to members activities and community initiatives including the Community Dividend Fund, which hands out grants of up to £5,000 to charities and good causes across the Society’s trading estate.
