Staff at Central England Co-operative Travel in Wisbech have been celebrating after being named best of the best at a glamorous award ceremony.

The Co-operative Travel, based in Church Terrace, beat off tough competition to land the coveted Branch of the Year award at an annual retail awards ceremony.

This comes only a matter of months after the staff were also named ‘Trading Team of the Year’ at the Society’s Leading Brilliance award celebration.

Harriet Clarke, Wisbech Branch Manager said: “I can’t believe it, I am still in shock. I never imagined we would win so I feel very overwhelmed by it all. I would like to thank all of our customers for their support and engagement with us this year and we look forward to continuing to assist everyone with their holiday plans.

“We have a very strong consistent team with over 60 years Travel experience between us. Repeat customers are really important to us and we have met a lot of new customers through different in store events and social media advertising.”

Paul Dale, Head of Specialist Business at Central England Co-op, said: “I would like to congratulate the team at Wisbech for being named ‘Branch of the Year 2017’ at our annual conference designed to celebrate the best of the best.

“The team had an amazing 12 months and were rewarded because of excellent customer service standards, supporting the community, and going the extra mile as a team with commitment and passion at the heart of everything they do.”
