A specially created film has been released to showcase a major event aimed at celebrating servicemen and women at a national centre for remembrance.

Central England Co-operative Funeralcare proudly sponsored Armed Forces Day at the National Memorial Arboretum, in Alrewas, on Saturday, 24 June.

Over 6,000 people enjoyed great weather and a full programme of fun family activities as part of an effort to celebrate the service of all current and former Armed Forces personnel.

Representatives from the Society’s funeral and retail businesses were on hand to speak to visitors about their work and also serve up a range of tasty treats that will be available in-store this summer.

Now a specially created film has been put together to celebrate all aspects of the annual event. The film can be viewed by visiting:

This flagship family event at the arboretum annually celebrates the work of the Armed Forces and thousands of military and non-military families joined in with the festivities.

A packed programme of activities and a parade took place including music from the Band of Royal Corps of Signals, historic warplanes took part in flypasts and there was also a performance from the Defence Medical Services Whittington Field Gun Display team.
