Step by step guide on how to build a gingerbread house with the kids this Christmas

Central England Co-operative has come up with the perfect way to keep the kids occupied this Christmas - and be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

The Society is getting into the festive spirit by urging people to try and win an early Christmas present by heading instore, picking up one of their new gingerbread house kits and getting their children to showcase some creative skills.

The DIY kit costs just £5.99 and offers one of the easiest ways to entertain youngsters in the run up to December 25.

To help parents and their children as they put together their own Christmas creation, Central England Co-operative has crafted a special video featuring easy to follow steps on how to put together the gingerbread house.

After building and decorating their gingerbread house, customers can then send a picture of their creation to Central England Co-operative on Twitter by using @mycoopfood and the #mycoopchristmas A winner will then be picked from the entries and they will win £25 in Co-operative vouchers.
