Thetford Travel Shop worker named Colleague of the Year at Central England Co-op’s annual awards

A Travel Shop assistant manager from Thetford is celebrating after being named Colleague of the Year.

Clare Slattery, who works at Thetford Travel Shop, in King Street, beat off competition from 8,000 other workers to come away with the top award at Central England Co-operative’s Leading Brilliance Awards.

The 31-year-old has worked at the shop for the past 10 years.

She said: “It means a lot to me to win the award as it shows appreciation and recognition for my hard work.

“I feel very privileged to win the Colleague of the Year award and I am over the moon.”

Clare was handed her award at a special event held at the Hyatt Hotel, in Birmingham.

The awards are designed to celebrate outstanding achievement, service and commitment for colleagues at Central England Co-op
