Thousands of people from across Lichfield have been handed a festive treat by unwrapping an early Christmas present thanks to Central England Co-operative.

Lichfield Boley Park Food Store took part in the Society’s Christmas Golden Ticket Giveaway last week – with dozens of lucky winners picking up a gift in each store.

As part of the giveaway, a total of 2,016 prizes were given away including  one 40” Smart LED TV, one smoothie maker, and one Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine just days before Christmas Day.

Other customers walked away with hundreds of pounds worth of Co-operative gift vouchers or an Irresistible Fairtrade chocolate bar after picking up a golden ticket after nipping into store.

A total of 54,432 prizes were handed out to customers and members across 27 stores in just seven days.

Lichfield Boley Park Store Manager Kev Morris said: “It was great to see so many people get behind the Golden Ticket Giveaway and walk away with some great early festive treats.

“Customers can now enjoy Christmas Day with everything from a new television to food purchased with Co-operative food vouchers.
“We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Golden Ticket Giveaway and to wish them a very Merry Christmas.”
