European Cuisine

With such a diversity of cultures across the continent, Europe boasts some of the most sought-after cuisines on the planet. If you’re a foodie, you won’t want to miss out on the chance to experience a few of the below!

Paella, Valencia

Famously distinctive and erupting with Mediterranean flavour, this Spanish seafood staple is a must-try for visitors to the country’s east coast. Combining succulent shellfish with fluffy white rice, wholesome beans and vibrant vegetables, paella makes for a delicious sharing dish for families, friends or couples.

Believed to have first been cooked in the open air of the orchards of Albufera, this authentic Spanish dish is best enjoyed in the idyllic environs of Valencia.

Pasta, Rome

It will come as little surprise to any food aficionado to hear that Italy’s capital is responsible for some of the world’s most delicious pasta dishes. Two of our favourites are the fabulous Penne all’arrabbiata and household favourite Spaghetti alla carbonara.

Packed full of succulent flavour and a taste bud-tingling buzz of chilli, Penne all’arrabbiata is the perfect combination of fiery flavours and soft pasta, while Spaghetti alla carbonara is a mouth-watering marriage of smoky bacon, tangy cheese and creamy eggs.

These sensational Italian dishes are at their most delicious when savoured in the stylish setting of Rome - click the image above to start arranging your dream trip to Rome today!

Bratwurst, Munich

For the more carnivorous traveller, a slightly meatier offering might be the order of the day. In which case, look no further than Germany. With hearty helpings of bratwurst and its spicier sibling currywurst, the robust cuisine of Bavaria is unlikely to leave you feeling peckish afterwards. If you’re lucky, you might even be treated to the region’s favourite vegetable, the lesser-consumed white asparagus. This variation on the popular green vegetable is a staple of German cuisine during its cultivation seasons, so keep your eyes peeled!

Authentic chequered tablecloths, marvellous meats and a bowl of Bavarian cream if you have room, all washed down with a steinful of beer. Sound like fun? Click the image above to start arranging your dream trip to Munich today!
