Fairtrade and you

You’ve heard about Fairtrade, but what exactly does it do? And how? This short online talk, delivered by experts from the Fairtrade Foundation especially for schools, will explain more about the progressive ways in which they keep producers trading, even in the face of huge challenges such as climate change.

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Choosing Fairtrade products makes you part of a world-wide movement with the power to influence positive, global change through your shopping choices and by spreading the message. This Fairtrade talk will provide some insight into how they support producers through the most challenging times.

Fairtrade Fortnight Worksheet

This Coop Fairtrade worksheet is for students aged 7-11. It is designed to encourage young people to understand why Fairtrade is important through research and fun activity. They will also learn how they can make a positive difference to the world they live in.
