Love gin? We know, stupid question, so we’ve put a wintry spin on a national classic. The familiar tang of gin dovetails with tangy lime and warming ginger to bring a beautiful marriage of flavours this Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Gordon’s Dry Gin
  • 100ml Co-op Ginger Ale
  • ½ packet of Co-op Fresh Mint
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ½ lime (garnish)

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice and a couple of lime wedges. This will ensure your drink stays chilled while you enjoy it, as well as infusing the ice with zesty flavour.
  2. Place 6 mint leaves at the bottom of a cocktail shaker then squeeze the lime over them.
  3. 'Muddle' the mint leaves with a rolling pin. This helps to release the flavour in the leaves better than tearing them.
  4. Pour the gin into the cocktail shaker and shake well for 20 seconds.
  5. Pour the mixture into the ice-filled glass and top with a lime wedge and mint sprig. Enjoy!
