Love gin? We know, stupid question, so we’ve put a wintry spin on a national classic. The familiar tang of gin dovetails with tangy lime and warming ginger to bring a beautiful marriage of flavours this Christmas.
Ingredients
- 50ml Gordon’s Dry Gin
- 100ml Co-op Ginger Ale
- ½ packet of Co-op Fresh Mint
- Juice of ½ lime
- ½ lime (garnish)
Method
- Fill a glass with ice and a couple of lime wedges. This will ensure your drink stays chilled while you enjoy it, as well as infusing the ice with zesty flavour.
- Place 6 mint leaves at the bottom of a cocktail shaker then squeeze the lime over them.
- 'Muddle' the mint leaves with a rolling pin. This helps to release the flavour in the leaves better than tearing them.
- Pour the gin into the cocktail shaker and shake well for 20 seconds.
- Pour the mixture into the ice-filled glass and top with a lime wedge and mint sprig. Enjoy!
